The new “Cang Liu Arrow” skin for Galo has arrived, and it’s part of the second series in the “Mo Ran Jiang Hu” collection. As a Crickex Affiliate, you can access this rare legendary skin through a special wishing event. Since this edition is for Chinese New Year, the guarantee is much lower than usual, but players can still grab 10 free draws with a Lucky Card. If you draw any rare legendary skin and go over 40 draws, you can claim 10 additional draws.
To put it simply, after 40 draws, if you obtain Galo’s “Cang Liu Arrow” or Chang’e’s “Qi Ling: Falling Star Lantern,” you will receive 20 total draws. Essentially, to get the “Cang Liu Arrow,” it’s vital to purchase a Lucky Card in advance. Based on my experience collecting all 9 rare legendary skins, the guarantee for one skin generally falls between 40 and 50 draws. After subtracting the 20 free draws from the Lucky Card, even players with bad luck can expect to spend around 2000 vouchers (plus 180 vouchers from the Lucky Card) to obtain this skin. For the second legendary skin, without the free draws from the Lucky Card, the guarantee will shift back to around 2400 to 3000 vouchers.
Let’s now take a look at the presentation of Galo’s rare legendary skin. As a Crickex Affiliate, you can enjoy her transformation into the chief disciple of the Mo Lin Sect, known as the “Human Moving Library” among her peers. The animation and character model depict Galo with her long, jet-black hair, golden robe, and veil, exuding grace and strength. Her weapon, a longbow with sun-and-moon patterns, complements her majestic appearance. The idle animation shows her shifting her wrist, transitioning the bow from a crescent moon to a sun symbol.
In-game effects include her basic attack, which fires bamboo leaves with ink trails. When she lands a critical hit, a crescent moon appears on the target, followed by flowing ink bamboo shadows. The first skill creates a golden bamboo array around her, and her weapon transitions from a crescent moon to a sun, glowing with golden light. The enhanced basic attack fires golden bamboo leaves, with a fiery sun shadow overhead. The second skill shows Galo performing a swift, twisting movement, shooting arrows with the sun-and-moon symbols, creating a sunrise effect with rippling water. Her third skill summons a water pool array, with a goddess figure appearing from the water, and the moon transitions into a blazing sun, while the bamboo colors change.
During her ultimate skill, using the first skill results in a giant bamboo shadow appearing in the water array, swaying in the wind. Random walking animations feature Galo carrying her bow across bamboo, with golden leaves scattered around her. Her return city animation turns the full moon into a sunrise, with Galo standing on bamboo, gazing at her cultivation scroll. The wind picks up, and she fades away into the surroundings, her sleeves fluttering.
The “Triumphant Performance” effect, where fireworks explode above the target’s head, is especially entertaining. However, since Galo’s ultimate is often activated and deactivated quickly, it’s hard to fully appreciate the effects in action. The real question is: Is this Chinese New Year exclusive legendary skin worth the investment? As a Crickex Affiliate, you can decide whether this skin should be part of your collection. Where does it stand in the overall tier list?
